Designing a luxury platform for a sports audience
In today's competitive business landscape, effective marketing is the cornerstone of success. Whether you're promoting a product, service, or personal brand, your ability to connect with your target audience and drive conversions directly impacts your income potential. To thrive as a marketer and double your income, you need to employ strategic techniques, cultivate essential skills, and stay ahead of industry trends. Here's how:

Overview:
While working at Zilliqa I got to work on a star studded project called ZilStars. It is a custom marketplace designed and built specifically for Zilliqa’s one-of-a-kind NFT project with 10 incredible football stars, in conjunction with athlete commercial rights representation firm Polaris. The platform has been designed to enable direct, transparent, secure and convenient purchases of the players’ exclusive and authenticated digital collectibles.
Objective:
In this project, our goal was to create an online marketplace for football fans to buy and sell non-fungible tokens (NFTs) featuring their favorite players. The branding needs to be magnificent and luxurious so that it shows the value it holds. To design the website, we conducted user research to understand the needs and motivations of our target audience, and used this information to inform our design decisions.
Challenge:
One of the main challenges we faced was how to make the website visually appealing and easy to navigate for football fans, who might not be familiar with NFTs. We also wanted to create a sense of community for collectors, so they could connect with other fans and showcase their collections.

Solution:
To address these challenges, we used bold, contrasting colors and graphics inspired by football players and kits. We also incorporated team and player imagery throughout the site to appeal to football fans and create a cohesive theme.
To make the site easy to navigate, we organized the NFTs into categories based on the players, and included a search function to help users find specific items. We also added a marketplace where the users can resell their NFTs and buy other NFTs which they couldn’t get their hand on in the first time.
To support Ava, our persona who is new to NFTs, we included a helpful "Know More" section in the global navigation bar with information on how to buy and sell NFTs. We also tried to keep the website as clean and clear as possible using big texts and images everywhere so there is no confusion.
Results:
The final design of the website was well-received by football fans and NFT collectors. $1.2 Million worth of NFTs were sold out in less than 24 hours and a total of $6.2 Million worth of NFTs were sold.
The use of player imagery helped to create a strong sense of community and the organization of the NFTs made it easy for users to find what they were looking for. The Marketplace was particularly popular, as it allowed collectors to connect with each other and share their passion for football. Overall, the website provided a user-friendly and enjoyable experience for football fans looking to buy and sell NFTs.
